Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all corporate affairs functions, including planning, public relations, social responsibility, and research & development.

  • Develop and execute corporate communication strategies, strengthening the organisation’s public image and stakeholder relations.

  • Supervise corporate planning activities, aligning strategic initiatives with national and global trends in the gold sector.

  • Oversee public relations and media engagement, managing the organisation’s reputation across multiple communication channels.

  • Direct social responsibility programmes, fostering community development and sustainability initiatives in the mining sector.

  • Lead research and development efforts, generating data-driven insights to enhance the organisation’s policies and regulatory framework.

Skills and Qualification Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Corporate Communications, Public Policy, Strategic Management, Planning, Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.

  • Professional Certification.

  • Minimum twelve (12) years’ Corporate Affairs experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Head of Unit, Corporate Social Responsibility

Reports To: Director, Corporate Affairs

Job Summary: Leads the development and implementation of the organisation’s CSR strategy, ensuring impactful community engagement, sustainable development initiatives, and alignment with national priorities. The role focuses on building trust, delivering shared value, and advancing the company’s social licence to operate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee CSR programs that address community needs and align with the company’s strategic priorities.

  • Build partnerships with government, civil society, and community stakeholders to drive inclusive development.

  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the social impact and effectiveness of CSR initiatives.

  • Lead internal awareness and staff engagement in CSR programs and volunteering initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, sustainability standards, and corporate governance requirements in social investment.

Skills and Qualification Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Policy, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in CSR, community development, or sustainability, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.

Principal Officer, Corporate Social Responsibility

Reports To: Head of Unit, Corporate Social Responsibility

Job Summary: Deputises the Head of Unit and supports the development, implementation, and management of the company’s CSR and sustainability programmes, ensuring the alignment with the organisational sustainability goals and achievements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement CSR initiatives and plans that align with the company’s overall business objectives and sustainability goals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders such as community leaders, local authorities, and institutions, individuals within the ESG and NGO space.

  • Ensure the organisation’s compliance with social, environmental, and governance regulations.

  • Prepare reports on ESG and CSR case studies as well as the unit’s initiatives and impact to present to Management.

Skills and Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Environmental Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in corporate social responsibility, sustainability development, or community development, with at least two (2) years experience

  • Expertise in ESG reporting, social impact measurement, and sustainability assessment.

  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks such as UN SDGs and GRI.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Senior Officer, Corporate Social Responsibility

Reports To: Principal Officer, Corporate Social Responsibility

Job Summary: Supports the implementation of the organisation’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability programmes by developing, executing, monitoring, and reporting on CSR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with community stakeholders, local authorities, and NGOs to support social impact projects.

  • Prepare CSR reports, case studies, and impact assessments for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Work with the Public Relations team to promote the organisation’s CSR initiatives through media channels, reports, and events.

  • Monitor social and environmental issues related to the organisation’s operations and propose mitigation strategies.

  • Assist in building partnerships with corporate foundations, donor agencies, and industry associations to expand the organisation’s CSR reach.

Skills and Qualification Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in shaping the organisation’s brand identity and media relations, working closely with the Director, Corporate Affairs.

  • Develop and implement the organisation’s public relations strategy, ensuring a strong brand presence and positive public perception.

  • Oversee content creation for press releases, speeches, and corporate publications, ensuring clear and impactful messaging.
